At CoDHNet, we recognize that education and empowered youth are key drivers of sustainable development and peaceful communities. Our programs work to expand access to quality education, strengthen life skills, and create opportunities for young people to become leaders in their communities.

We support vulnerable children and youth through mentorship, skills training, community awareness, and youth-led initiatives that promote education, resilience, and social cohesion.

Advocacy and Capacity Building
Community Development and Humanitarian Network (CoDHNet) implements advocacy and capacity-building initiatives to strengthen education systems and empower communities in Somalia and Kenya. Our programs focus on building the knowledge and skills of teachers, students, community education committees, and local communities to promote safe, inclusive, and resilient learning environments.
CoDHNet conducts trainings and awareness campaigns on key issues including education, the rights of women and children, child protection, prevention of Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (SGBV), health, hygiene and sanitation, and peace promotion. We also support Community Education Committees (CECs) with training on school management, record keeping, and disaster risk preparedness and response.

Through this community-centered approach, CoDHNet strengthens local capacity, promotes the protection and rights of children and women, and supports communities to take an active role in improving education and social wellbeing.
